The cottage is situated on the Wild Atlantic Way and overlooks the beaches at Ballyquin, Cloghane and Fermoyle, Mount Brandon looms over the property to the rear. This spacious bungalow has all the comforts of home including secure parking, picnic area, Wi-Fi and accommodates up to a maximum of 10 people. The house is only a 15 minute walk from Brandon Pier where boat trips can be arranged. Lake, River, Beach and Sea Fishing are all very popular with visitors as well as, swimming, cycling, hill walking and bird watching. In the village of Cloghane, which is less than 3km, you will find our local shop where fresh artisan bread is baked on the premises daily. Locally produced cheese, honey, and micro brewed beer and spirits are all available from the shop and local bars. Dingle Town is a 25-minute drive away over the spectacular Conor Pass and don’t forget to stop at Pedlars lake and waterfall.
The location is ideal for writers, photographers and artists, the stunning local scenery and vibrant culture is inspirational and the area is home to many excellent artists. The local Art Galleries at Teer are a stone’s throw from the property. The other galleries at Cappa and Cloghane are also definitely worth a visit. The peaceful countryside and secluded beaches are perfect for thoughtful contemplation and gathering material for writing and painting. The Lazy B local stables offer horse and pony trekking opportunities and some of the horses are stabled adjacent to the property or in nearby fields.
Other local tourist attractions include, Traditional Music 1 mile. Children’s playground 1 miles. Golf 8 miles. Cinema, Leisure centre & indoor pool 10 miles. Horse riding is just a matter of metres. Slea Head Drive, Fungi the Dingle Dolphin and The Dingle Ocean World Aquarium and Penguins are a short 10 miles away via the Conor pass route. Muckross House and working farm, Killarney and the start of The Ring of Kerry are a little over an hours drive via Tralee.
